About five to six years ago we planted a number of trees along our drive & in this area in front of the garage.
We are proud of all the different trees here & every Spring it looks more beautiful.
Hard to think this whole area was just a field at one time with cows grazing.
We actually had a marquee in this bit when Anthony & Jo got married. It's changed a lot since those days.
Three good things:
1. I am down to one crutch!
2. A free paper at Booths if you spend over £10 at the weekend!
3. Today I put outside the Poinsetta that Lesley & Brian sent us at Christmas. They always last so long but there are only a very few red bracts on it now although it looks very healthy still & producing new shoots. I have tried to get them to look all red & pretty at Christmas but no luck.
A lovelt scene -- all is so green fresh and wonderful -- looks so neat and well kept Pat -- Harry is doing a great job here !
So down to one crutch !! things are looking good , well done --I am sure you feel so much happier !
@thistle Well no it's not really Joyce but uncomfortable when I walk which is to be expected. I don't mind my ankle & leg swollen but my foot is too which is rather weird. Not a good look!
@happypat Oh dear. It does take a long time for the swelling to go down. I was told that when I sat down I had to keep my ankle above my heart to help reduce the swelling. I told them that long gone are the days when I can twist my legs around my neck, ha ha.
@happypat Just had another thought. I wore one of those hospital elasticated stockings when I went to bed and also under my socks when I wore trousers and shoes. Didn't wear it when I had shorts on though. That helped with the swelling and also massage the ankle and foot too.
