Build

A more comprehensive view of the barn conversion next door..taken through our kitchen window.

You can't see too much of the main part of the house from here as its much lower down than our level which is good as the windows don't overlook us at all.
The bedroom windows are a beautiful arched shape so it has some nice features.
We kept hay in the top floor of this barn & on the ground floor I had all the heifer calves in individual pens. They had two buckets in front of each pen one with calf feed in & the other water. They had milk twice a day.
It was a cold place in the winter but the calves thrived!

I must praise the builders as they are very quiet most of the time, no swearing & just a bit of singing & laughter so a pleasure to have around.

Three good things:
1. I have been to the hairdressers,
2. Pilling new potatoes.
3. New laid eggs
Oh you will be able to watch them in their bedroom (Wink, Wink). I could tell by your lovely capture that you've had your hair done, it looks lovely.

Great that you are a bit elevated. Hope the builders are good singers not their usual strong point.

They are getting on well so pleased your elevated above their level . Love your secluded lounging corner of the garden -- it must be quite a sun trap

The house is coming along nicely. It will be strange for you to have neighbours. We had an empty block of land next to our house for 18 years until a few months ago when they built a house on the block. Luckily our new neighbour Donna is lovely, about my age too and we get along really well.

@onewing I like a nice neighbour, we only had them for the first time when we moved here seventeen years ago. Prior to that we lived on a farm with no neighbours for half a mile radius so it took a bit of getting used to!

@julzmaioro Passable Julz but more a sudden burst of sound so it startles you a bit. Can only hear them if I sit out which unfortunately has been a rare occurNce for the last two weeks! Roll on summer!

hope Summer arrives soon for you so you can enjoy your lovely garden. Nice neighbours are such a blessing. It must be strange watching your old barn being transformed but nice to know it is starting a new life.

Very interesting

I hope they haven't blocked your view too much. A new house in my neighbour's garden has blocked my view of the Cairngorms - and it's a holiday home so I don't even have the benefit of nice new neighbours!
