A great day today at the local agriculture show, the sun shone bringing thousands of people through the gates.
This is the event that brings everyone in on the Sunday, tractor pulling.
The entrance I came in at was just next to the track so I got a great view of the early lighter tractors doing their bit.
The big tractor pull is on the August Bank Holiday as its the European Championship.
I have spent most of the day in the Radio Lancashire tent behind the tea & coffee pots!
Three good things:
1. When I removed the slip off my second placed photo of Finn I was touched to see the male photography judge had tucked a little note behind the photo saying Tender & Touching, well done! I was so pleased as no other photo had anything written on it. I'm sure if I had been standing a couple of feet further back so getting Finn sharper it would have been first!
2. Food demonstrations in the food theatre & especially tasting afterwards!
3. Happy faces.
Great that the judge acknowledged the emotion of Finn's shot. You will have to reenact it next year.. the tractor pull is a noisy event but the blokes love it.
@quietpurplehaze@snowy I was really touched Hazel & Diana to think he took the time to write that in the middle of judging all those photos & there were hundreds of them! Thirty three alone in this one section & there were around ten sections.
Great pov Pat , but what great black smoke billowing -- looks a real manly thing !! you must have been over the moon to receive that personal little note !
I can't remember that photo being fuzzy! It was a one off and would be difficult to duplicate again! So good to be second though! Think of the fuel used to do this tractor pulling! However - it brings people in!
