Where did the sun go? by happypat

Where did the sun go?

A very wet day, no washing dried & two electricity cut outs.
Full up with B&B for weddings, a poor day for a wedding.
The Aga will be draped with wet washing tonight trying to get some dried before a full bed change again tomorrow.

Photo taken two days ago in Clevelys in full sunshine! You can see Blackpool Tower in the distance on the bit that sticks out.
No editing as my 365 project won't seem to upload anything I've edited!

Three good things:
1. Even though Tom Daley bombed in the diving he says he will be back in Tokyo.
2. Sweet peas picked specially for me!
3. My thumb actually feels like it's on the mend properly at last!
We have a wet marine layer most of the summer, but I'm not a sun person so your picture looks very inviting to me. When the sun cones out on the coast it is because it is windy here

Strange looking lights (?) - but I rather like them.

The sun has gone here too Pat -- all we've had is blustery and heavy showers today I feel sorry for the wedding and the guests that are staying at your B&B
I also feel sorry for all the punters at the V festival held this weekend at Weston Park (over the border in Staffs !) Hotos of the tents and the folks dragging their belongings ankle deep in mud -- just hope the music will be worth while !!!

@jmj Yes aren't they strange, I've never seen them lit up though.

@pandorasecho yes you're right Dixie, a wind does bring sun but I hate wind. Windy tonight here so hope the drying sun is out tomorrow.

@beryl Doesn't rain spoil it all? That's the trouble with the U.K you can never rely on the weather for your plans. Wi day here tonight with a brighter sky so fingers crossed for tomorrow!

That tower seems to be so far away that this promenade must be so long! Shame about the stupid rain - so thoughtless of the man upstairs! You do have a dryer though, don't you?

@maggiemae Yes I have but try not to use it unless I have to, mostly used for giving towels a fluffing up after being on the line! Drier makes cotton sheets to dry sometimes then hard to iron!

What a great spot!! I hope your weather improves.

Super capture even allowing for the changing weather.

We had lunch outside in a cafe garden today in the sunshine and then went to the middle of the Yorkshire dales as my daughters had entered an open swimming race but it was cancelled due to the bad weather !!!

Nice place, Pat.

Miserable weather here as well Pat but it's supposed to get better again.
Shall be suffering from Olympic withdrawal this week. Lovely shot shot of the sunshine but hard to believe it was only a few days ago.

Looks warm here or maybe there are just a few brave souls willing to strip off.

Hope the rain stops soon, it must be a nightmare running a b&b when the weather is wet.

Looks dismal. The weather spoiled the last day of our hols but at least we had a few bright days. That is the beauty of an AGA. I dry my washing near it on wet days.

Okay - I'm curious - what is an AGA? Sounds like it is handy to have around.
Lovely shot even though you were not able to edit it. Wonder why?
