I have been going to paint our front garden gate for a year, I actually brushed the lose paint off last year but that's as far as I got.
Today was the day when i decided I would do it!
All went well & it looks so much better but I have just felt my hair & it's full of black paint!
I have just doused my head in meths & shampooed it but not sure how good it has turned out.
I know my head is stinging so will have to go & wash it again properly after our evening meal.
Thank you all for the lovely comments about Dorothy yesterday, she is all you say she is & those lovely rosy cheeks are all her own!
I meant to comment a bit more last night but got engrossed in Victoria on TV.
Three good things:
1. Jobs put off done at last.
2. A lovely Autumn feel to the air this morning.
3. Second part tonight of the promising new series on TV called Victoria.
A job well done. I've got a few of those wee jobs on my 'to do' list - they won't take much time, but I just don't get round to doing them. Now you've inspired me!
After reading this I hope your motivation will rub off on me. I have an outside table that needs a coat of paint but I've been putting it of. Either too hot, too busy, or just plain too lazy.
@newbank Oh yes lots of to do lists! I am half way through painting built in cupboards in the top bedroom that I started at the beginning of the year. Luckily it doesn't look half finished but I know it is!
Yep I know those sort of jobs... And when I do them often wonder why did I put it off so long...still many of those little jobs on my list though. It does look lovely, Nice capture
Its wrought iron? Not easy to paint without flicking paint around! I would go to the hairdressers - they might have something less harsh! The house looks so good through the gate - a nice softish touch!
@jackie8 Thank you Jackie, I was lucky there as you get what you are given when buying a farm! I wouldn't have moved if I hadn't liked the house but I was lucky & I love the house!
