A filler again today as I'm having great difficulty uploading photos from my camera to iPad. It's very temperamental & is going through a bad patch at the moment.
This is looking across our garden towards Dorothy's thatched house further down the lane.
I am loving this lovely autumn weather.
Three good things:
1. The nice B&B this morning had a lucky escape after being struck by lightening last year in Australia. He had burns on his legs & a pacemaker fitted to kick start his heart if it stopped but has made a great recovery.
2. A lovely present from Libertys from Cathy & Garth after their recent trip to London.
3. I have booked to see The Nutcracker by the Bolshoi Ballet in December. At the cinema but it works well live as a second best.
been a good year for the red apples ! I have done a crumble today..Dorothy's look a bit like ours. messy day today. bits n bobs, visa for America, insurance etc.. looking forward to a G N T tonight
How do you make the transfer? I take the card out of the camera and insert it in an Apple device that plugs into the iPad. The camera is not actually involved in the transfer.
Is this all one house? It looks very long! And wonderful - always good for a photo! Interesting what @allie912 says - John says it is a special Apple plug that fits into the iPad and has a USB on the other end and then a card reader can go in that. There are others too apparently. You can also use Bluetooth for a transfer. Imagine being struck by lightening! Is that when you get a great idea?
What a great apple tree.. lets hope you sort out your glitch in your uploading soon .. it is so frustrating when things don't work the way you expect them to..
@allie912 I have a connecting cable from camera that plugs into a lightening connector to USB socket on iPad but it sometimes accepts it & sometimes not! I think I need an Apple SD card reader that plugs into a lightening connector like you! I think the Apple thing will be expensive but it's no good as it is. Very frustrating!
@maggiemae Yes I have only read your comment after I commented to @allie912 my B&B who is sitting in the kitchen as I write has explained it all just now. Thank John & I will have to look into buying the Apple card reader. I did try a card reader I already have but it came up,that it needed too much power! I think when I go to Glasgow I might go in the Apple shop & ask if I haven't got fixed up by then, we are going onthe 17 th November.
So many apples and pears this year. I have frozen loads of Bramleys from a friends tree. I'm very lucky she has several varieties of apple and pear trees and is happy for me to help myself. Anything Apple is always expensive but usually reliable which is worth a lot!
Enjoy the ballet. Susie and I just love ballet outings!
The Bolshoi Nutcracker performance should be fantastic!
