All these lovely red boats have girls names, I thought they looked very smart all ready for a day's work on the lake.
Thank you for all the lovely faves on yesterday's shot, much appreciated!
Three good things:
1. I've been down the M61 today delivering Christmas presents for NZ, going in a suitcase next week!
2. Harry has finished creosoting the fences & hen cabin, lovely winter smell around!
3. Had a good burn out on the motorway.....I shouldn't say that but I do like a bit of speed!
This is lovely.. are they for taking tourist foe rides on the lake?.. Looks so still. You are super organised with your Xmas shopping . #3.. you little hoon..
Gorgeous! wonder what the story behind the names is!!!
Oooooh Christmas organisation - well done!! Susannah is going to see Laura and I should have done the same!!!!
Beautiful scene as you turned around on this lake and a lovely view over the lake towards the boats. If the red ones have girls names, then the white ones might have boy's names? I guess there might be a lucky and an unlucky name! Autumn smells are wonderful - but not burning rubber!
very pretty reds against the blue. My what a "hoon" you are. Must have been fun though. Your motorways rather scare me when everyone is going fast although I suppose that's better than the traffice jams I have seen when there is a hold up somewhere
Beautiful shot Pat. Had to pick Anthony up from an outpatient appointment at 5:00 last night. My burn out never went above 20MPH and mostly slower. I swear the the traffic gets heavier every time I go there!
@cruiser Well it was the middle of the day so quite quiet on the motorway. I have never heard that word before @julzmaioro used it too, must be a Southern Hemisphere saying!
Haha hadn't thought about it being just southern hemisphere but just looked 'hoon' up in the urban dictionary and it looks as though it is .. or at least NZ Australia.
Oooooh Christmas organisation - well done!! Susannah is going to see Laura and I should have done the same!!!!
I can imagine you as being a bit of a lead foot Pat. ha ha.
I love the smell of creosote.
