My dresser is groaning under various 'to do' things for Christmas.
For some reason this year I have been on catch up all the time especially with the Christmas cards. I got all the NZ stuff off in good time & then I seemed to relax too much having fun with Brian &Lesley, gadding about in Dublin then of course I was ill last week too.
B&B guests were full on too so the ironing piled up.
Three good things:
1. I have pretty much caught up with things now & all cards have left the house except hand delivered sitting on the dresser still.
2. A Christmas coffee after church cleaning this morning.
3. I am inundated with poinsettias! A broken one arrived from M&S so on complaint I received another one just after I had rung again after not getting any answer from my email. Half an hour after I put the phone down the second one arrived. Ten minutes later I got an email saying another replacement had been dispatched this time three small ones. On ringing up to tell them they said just keep them. I now have one & a half great big ones & three small ones!
I am much the same Pat... very late with cards and xmas letters.. But at least you have a lovely bright red Pointsetta in every corner of the house to look at...
Heaven knows how you dust these shelves but they do provide a classy look to your room! I do think the poinsettias have a lovely Christmassy colour and last so well. Think I'll go out and buy one for our home!
Such a homely look , Pat Whenever I see your dresser I can not but look and look again at all the lovely "homely " china objects You have had a few weeks of being extremely busy It will be great for you when Christmas day arrives and you will hopefully have time to relax and enjoy your 2nd Christmas ! Lucky you re the M&S saga !! nice to have the beautiful red poinsettias all around the house !
how funny about the poinsettias Pat. I bet you thought they might just keep multiplying! love looking at all your bits and pieces on the dresser. Remember "never do today what you can put off till tomorrow" !
@beryl Thanks Beryl, I'm glad you like looking, trouble is I never want to throw anything out, everybody sends me bits & pieces & I treasure them. It doesn't seem to get dusty & I do use the stuff at the bottom all the time. Looking forward to a good read!
I love your busy dresser! You have a very distinctive photo style and it's reassuring to see not just me with little piles around the house!!
Hope you are feeling better xxxx
It is a busy time of the year. We had hoped to be totally unpacked and ready for the holidays but with only several days left, we have resigned to just let it go and enjoy the festivities
I love this colorful peek at your life, Pat! So much character and fun on those lovely shelves.
How wonderful to have so many poinsettias to add even more color and cheer to your happy home! You lucked out with poinsettia delivery! 🙂
