Just a very quick photo of the flowers I bought yesterday. Not really flowers but I always like slightly different natural look & I am happy with this £1 spray of whatever they are!

Three good things:
1. I have been painting all afternoon & almost finished thank goodness!
1. All 40 horses in the Grand National home safely. I am not a big fan of horse racing but understand that it's a way of life & a business like farming & the horses are bred for racing. I thought a bit too much of the whip in the final stages for the winner, I did not like it!
3. If I could have been bothered to go to the bookies the horse I picked went down at the first!
I like yours Pat!!! I have a poorly little boy so kine were from yesterday. Hand, foot and mouth round two I think...

@happypat we had to abandon a party for littlest when clearly not well. 3 hours later painkillers kicked in and he has eaten half a pizza!!

Beautiful and fluffy arrangement of baby breath -- strange name -- I think it may be a variety of spiaria

That's really pretty Pat. It's gypsophila or as Beryl says, baby's breath.

I'm not a fan of horse racing either.

@gijsje I don't like to see the whip out Bep, thought he was over the top today! He should have fallen off!

Good to know the name as I love this flower and have tried unsuccessfully to grow it. Used a lot in bridal bouquets. Like little round pops of white here in that nice B&W choice! I'd buy it for 1 pound too but in the old days -1950's - one pound would buy a weeks groceries!

I think it's what we call Baby's Breath, here in the states.

It's gypsophelia. I love it too and always buy some to go with the flowers when I do them for church.
