I walked back from the village yesterday. Spring has arrived!
Three good things:
1. Jack has been here five hours sorting out my photo storage, his grandads new phone & generally getting us up to speed before he returns on Sunday to prepare for his final exams. I have 118,000 photo apparently!!
2. A hair cut.
3. A better nights sleep.
@jesperani it's wonderful Jennifer, I can upload onto the iPad & then every two weeks or so transfer all photos onto main computer & it sorts them all by date into proper files. I can see them all on the iPad all 118,000 of them!
@quietpurplehaze it's gorse Hazel. Looking lovely all,along the top of the hedge. I have had two good out of three so feel very lucky! By good I mean only waking twice & the main bit is not going downstairs!
@happypat oh right, did not think of gorse. I've had recourse to a bowl of cereal twice in the early hours. It usually works - it's the carbs my friend says. Fingers crossed for tonight.
@quietpurplehaze oh dear that's fatal Hazel, your tummy gets used to food in the night & expects it! I too have to eat cereal in the night but I do try not too!
I do not know why , but Tom Jones' Green green grass of home came to mind especially the lines "Down the lane I look , and there is Mary , Hair of gold and lips of cherries -- It is good to touch the green green grass of home !!" A lovely country lane Pat !
Oh dear .. I think I need a Jack as well.. what is he doing after his exams.. I am sure he would like to pop over and sort mine out.. Good to hear Spring has arrived .. still waiting for the arrival of 'Cook' .. but by the looks of all the maps us on the West Coast are not going to be hit so bad .. but the poor people of the Bay of Plenty are not going to be so lucky..
@julzmaioro Well Jack will be living in Japan at the end if July so not so far to come! Sometimes the forecast isn't as bad as they predict so hopefully that will be good. I'm sure some will catch it though!
@beryl what a great song that is....now you have me singing it! I took this because I myself like to see other people's local places especially from another country!
I can just see you flattening yourself against the hedge when a car comes along ....and then I see that it is gorse! I think I had 4 hours sleep last night! Oh dear. I think its too much to eat at the evening meal, actually.
