Some beautiful scenery in the Lake District yesterday even without any lakes.
This small farm was in Langdale almost as far as you can drive into those mountains.
All the trees were in their new spring colours.
This cow was rearing two calves, you can see Katie & Hannah trying to take a photo.
Three good things:
1. I have put them on the train to Glasgow this afternoon onto the next leg of their journey!
2. Sweet words in the visitor book.
3. No one in tonight, good job as I am shattered, I was almost falling asleep driving home from Lancaster this afternoon!
This wee farmhouse would have a lovely view and have planted some bright trees around. Great place to stop and take photos. You should leave some free days for yourself when booking guests!
@maggiemae these were two non payers maggie, lovely girls & we've had fun but I've tried to take them to lots of places as you do when you have visitors from another country. I have been friends with one of their mums for a long time so wanted to entertain them well. Will soon recover & they went on to Glasgow with colds so they must have been done in too!
A beautiful landscape , , great pov and composition . - l love the way the white-washed farm cottage nestles cosily under the hills . . -- so similar to the landscapes of home (mid Wales ) -- You certainly had a busy couple of days with the girls ! hope you will have time to relax before any paying guests arrive on your doorstep ! fav
just beautiful. We are going to spend a week in the Lakes District in October when we are over visiting family. We stayed there a couple of years ago and I cant wait to do some more exploring.
