I went to collect the post & noticed the new leaves lit by the low early evening sun.
Our little wood has come on so much since we planted it about five years ago. We are hoping to plant a beautiful maple in the only gap we have & then it will be finished.
Three good things:
1. The Aga was serviced this morning,
2. A friend has been & picked up some of the many jam jars I have saved over the last year.
3. 30% off a swimsuit courtesy of J. Crew. It was only for purchases in the USA & Canada but they have let me have the discount too!
Love the sunlight on the leaves. Would you mean an acer? Ray bought one really cheaply and it looked as if it had died but now it's beautiful in full leaf.
@quietpurplehaze yes an acer Hazel, I am a little worried it might get too cold up here for it though. They are expensive too so pergphaos a small one & see how it dies. Quite a cold north wind here sometimes.
Love that soft light through those new leaves. A beautiful shot. So glad J Crew let a Brit take advantage of the discount too. It's nice to be inclusive. :)
@julzmaioro ha ha Julz, yes I am, how did you guess? All those hot pools & now Lake Taupo I have to look decent! I bought one in the sale last year & it doesn't fit right so,out it goes!
Would a small woodland be called a woodlandette? This one looks healthy and the very light lime green of the leaves is a lovely colour before it darkens! You are going to have to keep the same shape till next year now with buying a swimsuit!
@maggiemae well it would be even nicer to lose a few pounds Maggie, all the weight I list when I was ill has gone back on! Mind you I did look a bit gaunt. I have read some reviews & its supposed to be slimming!
