These Herdwick sheep took off along the road but luckily they couldn't get far as there was a cattle grid further up the road.
Three good things:
1. A very quick appointment at the doctors! When I think hiw long my wrist saga has been going on today I was able to get an appointment within two hours! I have developed a rash on my face around the eye area & they thought it might be shingles. Luckily the doctor thinks not & I might be allergic to something...steroids, cream & anti hystemenes!
2. I'm off to London tomorrow but will try & post.
3. Polling day in a posh new hut, the old porta cabin had gone!
@newbank wouldn't it be amazing if I looked up & there younwere, would be the boys I recognise not you though! Have a wonderful time yourselves, I think we'll have to wrap up a bit as it's lots cooler in London at the moment. Some excited boys tonight!
@jesperani Well I am stil on with the wrist job, saw the doctor on 23rd March & all that's happened so far is an X-Ray which I don't yet know the result if!
Fun capture Pat as I hum "they'll be coming round the mountain when they come "!! ( its OK I have only a glass of non alcoholic ginger beer !! - I love ginger flavours ) Ooh, Pat you are in the wars -- hope the creams and potions will do the trick , and have a good time in London !
I love these sheep. I've never heard of the breed before. The fence toois very interesting to me. Good luck with your medical challenges. I thought it was just Australia where getting to see a doctor was so difficult
These sheep must be valuable - great to see them. Someone would be using the fleece to weave great clothing! Glad you could see the doctor about the rash - getting shingles treatment straight away stops it getting worse. He would have got a lab test. Stay safe!
@maggiemae the herdwick wool is greyish & quite course, it's made into sweaters etc & they are sold all over the Lakes. A very distinctive wool. He doesn't think it's shingles now thank goodness, says I could be allergic to something. No idea vpbecause I haven't done anything different, except strawberries perhaps. First ones eaten the other day. I have three days dose of a steroid, anti hystamine & special cream so I'm fit up hopefully.
@ubobohobo no,it's here too, our NHS is in crisis but when I go,to,our doctors it all seems very calm & hardly anyone in. Close for lunch & knock off at 5.30pm, can't be bad! A& E are overflowing because no one can get an appointment...except me today!
@beryl thanks Beryl. I have had the remains of a bottle of ginger beer tonight & it was good. The doc had put me on these steroids so,I asked him about drinking & he advised against! Not good when I'm on a weekend in London. I dint drink that much actually it just sounds like I do but I would have liked a couple of glasses of wine over the w/e!
What a fun capture of these funny looking sheep! Well done!
Hope you get on the mend fast so life can return to normal - and you can enjoy your wine once again!
