Outside tables with a fantastic view.
It was chilly on the riverside but these diners were enjoying their lunch.
Three iconic buildings together in the centre of the frame. On the right of course is 20 Fenchurch St otherwise known as the Walkie Talkie building.
In the centre is The Gherkin & to the left of those is the Leadenhall building also known as the Cheesegrater.
Three good things:
1. A visit from the local security firm this morning concerning outside cameras.
2. Finals week of Masterchef.
3. We have swopped TVs around & it seems to be working better.
@newbank not sure really but I like Giovanna or The Indian girl, can't remember her name but it begins with S.. won't be upset whoever wins though, I thought last nights episode was outstanding. Paul the chef was so encouraging!
A bit of a grey day here but you can still see all those vegetable buildings!
Probably not cold which is why you can sit outside to eat! Hope all is humming along with you!
@gijsje@sdutoit Thank you both, you can have a great wee holiday in London & exchange rates for tourists are good at the moment! Pound is weak because of Brexit!
Nice to see humans as well as the buildings !! (Just woke up after nodding off for most of the evening !! )-- thank you for your kind words Pat . Hope you are not in too mush pain with your shingles Pat -- take care ! :)
what a great pov. must try to get that myself when in London. I have been lucky to have had lunch at the top of the Gherkin and also been up to the garden in the top of the Walkie Talkie and the Shard. Dont think I could enjoy eating out in that cold looking weather but love the colourful people. Hope you dont have too much pain with your shingles
@cruiser our daughter & son in law we're in London for a couple of days overlapping with us & they had a drink at the top of the walkie talkie, said it was fab. We wanted to do it to but apparently you have to book at least two weeks ahead! Been up the Shard & would love the Gherkin! I don't feel as well this morning, quite flu like with swollen glands, will pass!
Probably not cold which is why you can sit outside to eat! Hope all is humming along with you!
