Cathy asked me to pop round & let the chap in who was delivering a new mattress this afternoon.
Interesting to read all the cards & look at lovely gifts.
So many cards in the Farrer household this week. Garth had his birthday last Thursday, Lydia was 21 on the Friday & a Silver wedding yesterday. I counted 44 without the 21 cards.
Three good things:
1. Glad to say our cat Lily who was missing all afternoon turned up last night. I can't tell you how unusual it was to have her not sleeping in the kitchen we truly thought she had gone off to die somewhere. She wasn't well & disappeared after we gave her some medicine but turned up strolling downstairs around 8.30. We still don't know where she was as I searched everywhere. A trip to the vet this morning so another big bill!
2. Somebody backed into my car in Tesco car park but no damage! Just felt him bump gently. I was out like a shot with my pen & paper but all was well!
3. The new David Baldacci novel The Fix in Tesco at £8 I was going back to,put it in my basket but forgot! Will see if Borrowbox has it to lend out.
Update I have reserved it for the 9th July!
So the mattress is for the next 25 years! About time! What a lovely bouquet of flowers and good to get a photo of the cards. They get put away eventually and almost forgotten!
What a lovely collage of all the cards and flowers. Glad Lily turned up okay. And also that you still like your own place better even though new one is lovely. I feel the same about ours!!
