General Election Day in the UK.
We have to choose our new government today & its an even more important one this time as the successful party has to negotiate the most difficult & complex task of guiding us through Brexit.
Many hurdles & I'm sure setbacks on the way but hopefully at the end there will be a result that is the best we can achieve for us all.
I love Election night as I take a lot of interest in the goings on in the political world following as much as I can in the weeks leading up to today.
Must admit I have heartedly had enough this year!!
I have had a little kip this afternoon all ready for my marathon night!
Our very quiet polling booth but there was a steady stream, if you could call it that!!
Three good things:
1. I haven't got to go out to work tomorrow just two breakfasts here.
2. M&S chocolate pudding.
3. We have moved on from our porta cabin on the roadside to a proper building on the caravan park for our polling station. See above!
Hope it all ends well, but I hear the latest reports from Australia are that there is the possibility of a hung parliament. What a bugger's muddle that would turn out to be.
@onewing it would be disaster Babs! I am all gloom & doom here not so much because labour are doing so well but we have voted fir Brexit & we need a string givetnmentbto, get the best deal. It will be all fighting & scrapping now with big problems! Can't believe how times have changed for JC who not that long ago had no support even in his own party!
@newbank my word there are Ruth! Or ally I would think we'll turn & turn about but just now when we need a strong government to lead us through Brexit whether you agree or not Brussels are going to walk all over us & there will be much argy bargy in Parliament. Chaos!
