Aldi have some fantastic flowers, usually very fresh & this bunch took my eye today.
I have a wedding on this weekend with seven staying so I bought them for the dining room table.
Three good things:
1. A live link up with Max's school concert in New Zealand, I saw him hopping & skipping live on my iPad at 7am this morning! Technology is a wonderful thing!
2. Watching a clarinet player performing in the ICU of a Manchester hospital, her music was so appreciated by patients & staff alike.
3. Listening to Radio 2 with Jeremy Vine as he spoke to five mothers who had lost their sons in death. A new album of music entitled The Songs our Sons Loved. Bridie Spicers story about her son Leon was so moving I parked up in the car to listen, brought a tear to my eye.
Available on BBC iplayer for 28 days.

It was funny, I was in Garstang shopping for the weekend, market day too & I thought oh no I forgot to take a photo. Just as I was going to put the flowers in the vase I took a quick photo, so glad you all like it! I surprised myself how nice it looked!
Really lovely..yes.Aldi so good at flowers...nice start to your day watching Max...i will have a listen to that album...I am sure it will make me cry too!
Beautiful... two of my favourite flowers ... Kylie loved peonies and wanted them for her wedding flowers but it was too early in the season... always try to have a bunch in the house when they are around... we can not grow them this far north of NZ as too humid ... and I love the smell of stocks.. fav ...
@brennieb Just went on the web page for this & it was recorded in 2011 but they are revisiting it this week. I thought it was a CD but now don't think it was. Jeremy Vine is speaking live to Bridie tomorrow six years on. One of the songs was Daniel singing The Homes of Donegal which Daniel made a recording specially for her, typical of him!
Lovely composition, such beautiful flowers.
Isn't technology wonderful these days. I remember when our daughter was small and David was on an unaccompanied posting in Gan for 9 months, we only had letters as a way of keeping in touch. No computer technology back then.
Good to see your beautiful composition has been recognised by PP! The vase is lovely and the flowers will look wonderful! That concert would have been delightful with that age group!

I agree, Allie.
