The last night for our NZ visitors & we had an early birthday party for Max. He is seven on the 13th August so we had a cake & balloons etc.
Finished the evening sitting round the fire toasting marshmallows.
Today I took them all to the airport for their long flight home, so sad to see them go. I hate saying goodbye to all our family in NZ but I know they are happy & settled there so that is the main thing. The sadness soon passes & we are so lucky seeing as much of them as we do.
A nice way to finish the visit for everyone to celebrate Max's birthday. It must be so hard saying goodbye but thank goodness for Skype so you can have regular contact with those little guys.
Do you just eat the hot marshmallow off the end of the stick? Never done this! Or else I just can't remember! I feel lucky that we see our widespread family so much too!
