Dorothy has just had her house re thatched & I liked the darker stormy skies behind the pale new thatch.
Three good things:
1. An empty doctors surgery when I went for my arthritis appointment this afternoon.
2. Loved the new Bake Off programme last night. They haven't messed about with it & kept the formula the same.
3. I managed to find a very suitable present for a friends birthday, light & small enough to go in the post.
It does look a bit stormy.. love the light showing off the new thatch.. it's a very cute house.. an empty Drs surgery is something to get excited about....
@julzmaioro You bet Julz! I have had to wait almost a month to get an appointment to see the same doctor I saw last time! The medical situation is really bad in the UK. Too many people & not enough doctors or money invested in hospitals! Plus people going to doctor for too many minor things I think!
Fantastic light! I wonder if re-thatching is a very expensive business. I guess it possibly is given the limited number of specialists around. Looks lovely.
Dorothy must be very pleased with the new thatched roof ,such a lovely golden tone against the dark stormy grey sky.Finding an empty surgery must be a bonus !! Hope all went well with your visit .Cross with myself with missing the Bake Off last night especially we were just back in time to see it Must be in tune next week .
Lovely shot and a great new thatch. Yes I liked the bake-off too - it was almost identical except for the change in presenters. I'm still a bit sad to lose Mary, Mel and Sue.
@beryl Oh yes don't miss it Beryl, only just got going so you haven't missed much! You yes doctor visit good result. I thought my appointment with Rheumatologist on 2nd October was assessment but it's a proper examination. I was going to ask for private appointment but I will wait, soon be October!
@busylady I did like that threesome but will get used to new presenters I think. I know nothing about the guy, I thought he looked looked nervous, I am expecting him to be lots more vocal in a bit. The bakers are the Stars so that's the main thing.
What a delightful cottage. I wish my hospital appointment had been as quick as your medical one. I waited three hours today because the moron of a surgeon who did my op at the beginning of August didn't turn up till late. Luckily Dr Vanessa is back next week and I see her in 2 weeks time.
I told the registrar that I wasn't impressed with the locum doc and he said there have been lots of complaints. He will be glad when Dr Vanessa returns too.
