On my way back from our daughters today I had to stop in the middle of the road to wait for this amazing funeral procession as it drew up to St. Hilda's Church.
A pair of black horses drawing a beautiful black shiny carriage containing the coffin. It looked magnificent. One walking in front swirling a cane & two on top of the carriage wearing top hats etc.
I was self conscious as I got my iPhone out & I was spotted as you can just see but I daren't take a photo any nearer for decency's sake. I did think I was nearer than this & was disappointed to see how far away they were when I downloaded.
Three good things:
1. I have a rather fun occasion tonight, four girls staying over for a wedding tomorrow in the village church. They are going to have a lovely girly evening. The bride & bridesmaids!
2. Stocks on the dining table.
3. Ceremony
@julzmaioro Just found out that the wedding isn't until 2pm & they are going from here! Good job I've nothing special to do tomorrow! I think breakfast might be late!
I'm sure they wouldn't have minded you being a bit closer! After all the family chose to be flamboyant with the funeral. Amazing that this was available in your area - those horses would be trained! You are blessed have the wedding leave from your house! I expect their might be a photo coming?
So fitting that you have (or will) witness two important events that mark a person's life - their wedding and a funeral. One is cause for celebration - and one is full of sorrow.
Love your nr. 1.
