Not the London Shard but our Shard!
We went for a meal out to the Shard Riverside last night, very nice it was too with a great evening view.
This bridge was much smaller at one time & was then a toll bridge.
This new one was built in 1993 & thank goodness you don't have to pay to get across! We have the Cartford bridge where you pay a toll so one less is good!
Three good things:
1. I left the key under the mat with a sign on the front door telling my late b&bers exactly where it was & what bedrooms they were in. I was mighty glad when they rang & said they had arrived & picked the key up!
2. Garlic bread!
3. The amazing courage of those taking part in the Invictus games in Canada.
@happypat Oh that's a shame. It was a lovely series but a little biased as the final one was about my son. Next year we should definitely arrange to meet at the Westmorland Show.
