Lots of mushrooms growing under the trees so I made some mushroom soup.
I'm not a good soup maker but it was very simple, turned out OK but lots of faffing about & stuff to wash up!!
The walk was good & I felt better for it but spoilt it by eating a couple of Belgian chocolates with my cup of tea when I got back!
Three good things:
1. The smell of Autumn, unmistakable!
2. Crisp chocolate!
3. I found the loud speaker button on the phone, I have been struggling tohear conversations on the telephone. No one has rung yet to test it!
Sweet memories of childhood -- I so loved my mum's home made soup . A combined effort Dad wound pop over the river at the bottom of our garden to pick mushrooms in the field and bring them home for Mum .Autumn , is certainly with us - the smells , colours , nip in the air and the nights drawing in !
I have found that bought mushroom soup nowadays is just as good. Mushrooms are for photographs now! Doesn't look too autumny here - lots of green and quiet countryside!
@maggiemae Believe me maggie I a man not one who makes soup but we have so many mushrooms I just fancied making some. Not sure whether I will make any more though! It was a faff!
