A great setting yesterday at Chatsworth House.
It was hard to take photos as there were so many people getting in the way! As we approached the house through the extensive grounds I would have liked to have stopped & got a proper photo of the whole house but my only photo taken through the coach window is not good.
A lovely view over the grounds as the dipped down from the house. It was the perfect setting.
This is my cinema friend Dot in the red coat. It was very handy to track her down if we got separated by the colour of her coat!
I have never seen so many bobble hats with furry pom poms! Everyone had one on!
Three good things:
1. Plenty of food stalls.
2. Samples of various drinks which we took advantage of seeing as we weren't driving!
3. Good cheer from everyone!
Chatsworth never fails to take my breath when you drive down to it. lucky enough to have met the last old Lady devonshire.. she was amazing . looked busy ! but then always is
@brennieb My first visit Brenda. It was awesome that first sight of it! I once had the old Dukes brother staying at my other b&b, he had some sort of very upmarket plane flying clay pigeon shoot company. I'm going back a long time but he was very pleasant.
Love the hustle bustle of this scene with the people busying around the fairy-lit stalls and tents ! It looks cold but dry with everyone suitably wrapped up - lovely to have your lady in red -- easy to spot !! and a nice pop of colour for your shot !
You did well to get this photo, Pat! I had an emergency trip to the dentist today (excellent National Health service) and walked into Winchester afterwards. So many people that I took not one shot!
Looks very popular -they must raise a lot of money for something - maybe Chatsworth! Wonder whats for sale. Heard there was a mud problem for cars so going by coach was a good decision!
Thank you ladies! I always like plenty to look at in photos!
