On watch

Quiet in the canal basin in Garstang on a cold wintry Sunday afternoon.
I just popped out of the car to take a quick shot, I'm always rather fascinated by the smoke curling up out of the canal barges chimneys.
What must it be like to live on a barge I wonder?
I think you might be just about killing each other after a few months in such cramped conditions but I might be ok on my own!

Three good things:
1. Out for some fresh air.
2. Had a chat to Finn on messenger about owls ears. Apparently they have one under the feathers at the top of the head & one at the bottom.
3. I'm on the mend at last! I must stop using flu bugs to lose weight in January!

I went out with the kids on 'pleasure boats' a few times and we always wanted to sleep over.. bet its a bit chilly now! Nice shot and glad you're feeling better. :)

I used to think it would be nice to live on a barge when I was a child, but I grew out of that idea. These days I like my space.

A lovely scene. I think I could manage a holiday on a barge but I couldn’t live on one. Too cramped
