We're eating!

I walked into the yard of the tidy farm, these cows were quite startled to see me walk round the corner.
That is silage in front of them which is gathered in the summer months for feeding in the long winter when stock is inside.

I retraced my steps in the car when I went out today & Harry was right I did not walk 5 miles yesterday, only three & a half! It felt like five miles!

Three good things:
1. Stirr fry for tea, we love stir fry & it's quick & easy.
2. Cutting down on plastic at last, we seem to be getting the message!
3. Such a variety of fruit & vegetables in the shops.

Those cows were really wondering what you were up to. Although the one at the far end is continuing to fill its face... 3 and a half miles is good! It is 3 and a half kilometres around our ‘block’ and yesterday was so hot that I had to wait until nearly dark before walking - even then the heat was still coming from the tar seal road.

Nice to know what goes on inside these big sheds! We saw so many huge ones in Switzerland and I wondered how they were fed etc.

good to see how the cows see out the winter. Just as well we dont have to house our cattle in Australia, we could never have a shed big enough :)
