A chickens white world

Snow at last!
What a different world this morning when we opened the curtains!
It hasn't snowed much just enough to cover the fields & yet as I look out of the back door ten hours later there isn't any sign of it! Here & gone in a day!

Three good things:
1. Fleeting snow, just a taste of what it's like in harder hit countries , nice without the inconvenience!
2. A beautiful pink streaked sky tonight.
3. A timely visit to a sick person.
Yes we had some lovely snow too. My hens just didn't know what to make of it. They didnt like it!

A lovely (if temporary) winter scene. Can you believe some of the South Island mountains had a dusting of snow last week?

@beryl looks pretty doesn't it Beryl.....so pleased we had a bit! Might be more to come later perhaps, ok for us that don't need to go out! I remember the terrible times when snow caused bedlam in the farm yard. Couldn't open doors etc frozen water bowls, one Christmas Day, we didn't get in the house until dinner Time!
