I walked to the village for the bread this morning.
A cracking morning, cold, frosty with no wind, I enjoyed it. Had slight detour around the main road onto this quiet road through a farm yard.
You can see the sheep eating sugar beet. We have had lots of rain but the land is drying up a bit at last.
Some of the sugar beet have been harvested but the middle part of the field has been left for the sheep to forage for their own.
Three good things:
1. Helping to paint, all hands on deck.
2. Some rubbish to the tip in Harry's trailer.
3. Chinese for tea when the family get here. Lydia is back from uni to do her bit.
ooh Chinese food, lovely! even thought you have had a lot of rain it looks like it has all drained away rather nicely. I didn't know sheep ate suger beets. Nice to learn something new every day, thank you!
Thank you all. Sorry I'm being lax with the commenting tonight, have had family here for a meal after a days painting so short of time this weekend but am grateful for your comments.
Freezing cold here...
