This view is taken from the Fishergate end of the gardens. You can see the newish steps down into the garden & on towards the far side. From there you can walk down into another very large park called Avenham Park & on to the River Ribble which flows into the North Sea.
Very nice iron railings all around this square.
Three good things:
1. Visiting someone in a nursing home & finding them chirpy!
2. At last managing to get the top of a hand soap container opened properly.
3. Staying in out of the rain.
This is a lovely view of the park Pat - and on answer to your question on other pic I haven't been on the park since they have done the paths and steps etc. Looks a lot better doesn't it!
@lyndamcg IRS lovely isn't it? I would have enjoyed my visit much more if I hadn't been weighed diwn with shopping. I thought I would take a walk through the park & go down Garden St to the bottom car park. Forgot when I go to the car I had to trek all the way up to Debenhams shopping centre to pay my dues! Me with too tight boots on too!
Thank you, I'm glad you like this place, it's a little gem in the middle of Preston.
