Chives by happypat

Chives

I love it when the chives are flowering, such pretty flowers & buds as well as being good to eat & flavour food, a wonderful plant all round!

Another busy day, I have had the car washed, been to Tesco for stuff, chosen the new carpet & vinyl for letting house. Put bulbs in lights, I had go three times to get the right ones, my mind was stupid today. I bought two lampshades from Tesco but one broke so I have to go back & change it. I've hung new curtains, that's a devil of a job on its own but I think we are pretty much done now at last.

Three good things:
1. Lists
2. More lists
3. Crossed off lists!

Lovely photo. Love your lists!

What a busy day , and yes, lists helps us through such days and so good to cross off the list and see it getting smaller ! Love chives and you have a lovely ,healthy clump here -- I snipped some off my clump the other day to spread on my salad !

@sarah19 Strangely you would think so but sometimes I sleep badly after a busy day. Fingers crossed, I only have three things on the blackboard list to do & then just packing.
@louannwarren What would we do without lists although it's only recently I have used them . My DIL in Taupo is a great list maker but I usually have it all in my head but have to resort to writing stuff down when it's so important not to miss doing stuff.
@beryl Yes I love crossing off Beryl, sometimes I even add something to the list if I have almost done it just so I can cross it off!

@gijsje Yes I try to remember but that's why I'm busy, I blame the tenants for leaving just now Ha ha! Hopefully by tomorrow we will have new ones, I hope this couple in the morning are very suitable & we can get back on track. I have not done any packing or anything yet, there is a pile of stuff on the floor in the bedroom!

Hope you have time for the Royal Wedding? I love crossing off lists too. You have just chosen the carpet etc for the letting house and you leave on Tuesday?

@maggiemae Yes they will fit it while I'm away, just that & new flooring in the utility room & some replastering on outside wall in bathroom. It's taken a bit of work, carpets cleaned some painting etc. Hoping viewers tomorrow are good. Going to a wedding party with friends in the morning after they have been. Plenty of bubbly & a buffet.

Gosh that makes me feel tired just reading through your 'done' list. Sounds a bit like me though. Always a lot to do just before going away. Love your chive plant.

@happypat

Very pretty. I ate some chive flowers on my asparagus and salad yesterday and I am OK! (As they were purple, I thought it would be OK!) And I am a champion list maker!

Boo
@happypat ahh that's ok then...thought I wasting stuff from my garden....I "harvest" them all the way to Midsummer...then mix them in sour cream to have with "sill"

I'm a right one for lists, too... just made a scary one for today to make up for sitting watching the wedding yesterday (and the Kings Speech on dvd in the evening instead of ironing!) Lovely chives, they do look pretty. My neighbour has them like weeds but they don't seem to like my garden at all!

@quietpurplehaze @huvesaker @filsie65 There you are then Boo, Hazel eats them so perhaps I will try them too, they would look pretty on a salad! Great 'weeds' to have growing in abundance Phil!
