I love this book shop in Hamilton.
It used to be on the other side of the Main Street but has relocated opposite in a new area which has been created to make access to the Waikato River.
The river runs through Hamilton but until now it has never beeen much of a feature but have realised lately what a great asset it could be to the city.
Browsers seems to be open all hours & is filled with secondhand books. Books are very expensive in NZ so the second hand trade is good. Book shop open tonight at 8.30pm!
I asked for a copy of On Chesil Beach & he went straight to it!
We have all been out to a Mexican Restaurant, it was delicious!
It's raining hard & thundering & lightening as I lie in bed tonight.
I should have cropped the top off this photo but too late now!
I love second hand book shops! My brother - a retired bookseller - runs a second hand shop on the internet!
I recently reread 'On Chesil Beach', McEwan is one of my favourite authors.
The shop was lovely & in a great place but I personally think it's lost its quirkiness. Beautifully clean & well designed but the old place was so I keeping somehow, it's a bit too tidy now if you know what I mean?
