Three good things:
1. The truly amazing response to #thumbsupforcharlie appeal to fund my friends grandsons treatment in Germany. He needs Proton beam therapy urgently to treat his rare brain cancer.
Well in five days over £83,000 has been raised by so many generous people. To say it's been mind blowing to see the figure rise so quickly is an understatement. Every time you look it shot up & some large amounts being donated by many local firms so I'm sure they will reach their goal of £100,000 in four weeks.
Such a relief for the family that there is a ray of hope for little Charlie.

Great way to spend the afternoon - -- too hot for anything else !My only time outside today was in the shade much cooler in the house with all the doors open as there was a little beeeze ! So pleased to hear the great news re Charlie's funding hope all will go well for him !
@gijsje Isn't it just Bep, still coming in too. Talked to my friend & £100,000 is only a rough estimate what they need just for treatment alone. Germany haven't had his medical notes yet so don't know his requirements properly so still every penny needed. All the local firms are contributing large amounts so that is so generous as well as the smaller amounts.
Lovely to be able to relax in the garden. We worked in our garden yesterday splitting logs for our fire. A good way to exercise and keep warm at the same time.
