A trip out to Beetham Nurseries for lunch today.
A brilliant garden Nurseries with fantastic stuff to buy. A whole new extension which we hadn't seen all clad with a wonderful dry stone walling.
On then to Kirkby Lonsdale where we bought an engagement present for a friends daughter...party on Saturday.
This ginnel full of bedding etc is the overflow from the shop next door.
Three good things:
1. I resisted buying summer stuff in the shops, soon be autumn!
2. A swimsuit I bought in the summer sale at Toast fits really well, my old one has faded with chlorine & I have had it years.
3. Sooty's 70th Birthday today!
@quietpurplehaze Oh I feel quite frugal then Hazel, mine old one must be ten years old! Seeing as I only use it rarely in NZ & on any holiday where they have a nice pool.
A lovely day out Pat ! and what a wonderful naturel set up to display their goods ! Thanks for your kind offer Pat - but I didn't really wanted to go to Dudley because if I needed any treatment I suppose that would have to happen there too ( out of county ! ) I hope I will not regret my decision !
@julzmaioro Was fun but I was too hot. Had a shirt on I hadn't worn before & it was surprisingly hot, material was thicker than I thought, glad to get home!
@maggiemae Sooty is a small bear glove puppet. He was first seen with his puppeteer in 1948 & had his own TV show in 1952. He was very popular on children's television. The Sooty & Sweep show...Sweep was a dog!
@louannwarren@allie912 Yes I love a good root myself! Lots of different names for these narrow passages, I called it a ginnel but we call the ones in Garstang weinds.
This display looks so interesting. Sounds a lovely day out. I bought a new swimming costume recently as I couldn't find my old one but then it turned up! Doh! Now I have two and only really go swimming when Imogen comes to stay
@busylady Isn't that the way it goes Judith. It's surprising how expensive swimming costumes are too, specially one good enough to hold you in the right places! 😀😃
Really Sooty 70... who would of thought..
Who would think that Sooty is 70, I remember him when he was a lad. ha ha.
