This is what greeted me this morning when I went upstairs to do the beds!
One of the worst ones I've had over the years, all of them young couples. Furniture moved about, the mirror does not live on the window sill!
I just moved stuff to the side, kicked underwear under the bed, tidied up as best I could & left.
How they can come in late tonight & climb into that I have no idea!
Lovely chatty young couple but you wonder what their house is like!
She left a messy uneaten plate of food too, one of my pet hates...wasting food!
Tractor Pulling weekend so really busy but lovely weather today!
Three good things:
1. Practically all of my B&B's aren't like this....I would have given up long ago!
2. I have learnt to play Gin Rummy.
3. I don't live nearer the tractor pulling than I do....the roar of the engines is very loud & will go on until after 11pm tonight & tomorrow.
I did sort of stand at the door & thought shall I just shut the door & leave it? In all honesty I couldn't walk out knowing there was that mess in the house! It's still messy but at least they can climb into bed tonight!
They just might have felt guilty when they came back and found the bed all made! Its what they do at home so is not any different! A complete lack of respect here though!
@maggiemae Yes they must have, the top sheet was just on the floor so I have removed it, one thing less to make a mess with. They aren't back yet but it's their last night tonight thank goodness! I agree about lack of respect but all young wedding guests that stay are like this. I have stopped doing weddings for that reason.
Ooh !! Pat - what a mess ! - have they no self respect let alone respect for other one's property ! Tractor pulling indeed - they couldn't pull any thing else in that mess !!
You really do wonder what their home looks like! I am a compulsive tidier in hotels and self catering cottages and usually strip the bed at the end and leave it in a neat pile as well.......hubby laughs at me! My mum always used to leave self catering cottages cleaner than when we arrived and I guess I picked up the habit. Doesn't always translate into my house though, which has its distinctly "lived in" look quite frequently!!
@casablanca You are a B&B treasure, I do have some like that too, all used bedding carefully folded. They have gone home today, she was desperate to get back to her 15 week old baby so they were off straight after breakfast!
I'm the same I can't sit & relax if the house is a tip......the room was ok this morning when they left....it was her stuff all over that was the trouble!
Her breakfast plate was the same too, not touched two fried eggs she asked for or anything much of the rest....they paid for it so it's their choice but such waste!
I'm afraid I would have taken one look, walked out and closed the door. It's so insulting when people their room like that. It's also rude to ask for food and then not eat it. So glad I no longer have to put up with this kind of thing.
