Trawling my Irish photos today, I gave done nothing but tidy up, make beds & washing so it's good to have fillers!
This photo was taken in Waterville a village on the Ring of Kerry route.
We stopped here for coffee & I think the small cafe was quite taken aback when half our coach piled in. They were very obliging & brought extra chairs out.
Loved the smell of the sea as we got out of the coach & the blues & greys of the wild Atlantic Ocean.
Three good things:
1. Bleach. I put my red tartan dressing gown in the wash by mistake & although I've washed it before it made the towels & pillowcases pink. I ran them through again with a good dollop of bleach & they are only faintly pink now.
2. Wine gums.
3. We never heard any sound from the B&Bers when they came in very late from their wedding party last night. Put the lights out too, top marks!
A lovely photo. My such rocky land. Some friends stayed in our home quite a few years ago, while we were out of town. She washed the navy towels from the guest bath with some ivory towels. She never acknowledged what she had done. It was a long time before all the white lint came out of the navy towels and the ivory towels were grungy looking forever. I took them to the thrift store. Ha.
@louannwarren b my heart sank when I saw it Lou Ann, I'm usually so careful what I put in my white wash but the dressing gown was there at the back & I forgot it was in! I think blue is worse than red somehow, it makes whites look grey whereas a light pink does look quite nice!
@beryl We were in a coach Beryl so not able to stop just as & when I would have liked perhaps but there again we had some great singing company! We do like a sing song on the coach! Finished up in Kenmare which is a lovely little town as you probably know!
@susiemc@julzmaioro Surprised how well this photo has gone down tonight ....I didn't rate it that interesting! More I look now through others eyes I like it more!
Thank you all, beautiful Ireland indeed!
It was the smell of the sea that got me, I could actually see the loveliness of living there in that sheltered coast line.
