We had a lovely day here today, could have done with it being a bit warmer but luckily the rain stayed away mostly.
We met lots of people we knew to chat to, bought some cheese, sausages, black pudding & a lipstick.
Late home & then a quick shower to get warm & off out again to pick a friend up & then a fashion show at Daisy Clough garden centre.
Sorry no time to comment tonight, this is just a diary shot. No need to comment.
Great shot of the parade - it has always amazed me how white the handlers coats are when on parade with their cattle ! I just had a smile at your purchase of the day - all the foods + lipstick -- ha ha !!
A super shot of the parade- it must be the Parade of Champions since I see so many different breeds.
So nice to see the care and attention given to these fine animals.
@beryl Ha ha Beryl, yes you have to prioritise! The lipstick I like has been discontinued & I have been looking for one similar with the exact shade of natural pale pink that I can wear on days when I need to look a bit more like smarter but not dressed up if you know what I mean? Keeps lips from cold winds too! Got just the one after loads of expensive attempts over years!
The farmers of you will know the care & preparation that goes into these country shows & you're right this was the tail end of the grand parade. I missed the start going past but there were all different breeds & at the back two trailers one with champion sheep & the other with a pig in it!
Thank you.
A great image. Sadly, in NZ we are not having calves at school agricultural days or cattle at shows. This is to hopefully help prevent the spread of mycoplasma bovine
