His & hers

This couple were chatting away as they wove their baskets.
The craft tent at the show was full of clever motivated folk doing what they love.
Lots of basket weaving but I didn't see any lace makers this time.

Three good things:
1. A good roast dinner in the oven but I still haven't fathomed out if the joint of meat I have in the oven is lamb or beef! All will reveal its self later! I think it's lamb so will get out the mint sauce but we are also having Yorkshire pudding so I have all eventualities covered!
2. Catching up with holiday news from family.
3. A long read of the Sunday papers this morning.
Great capture

@quietpurplehaze I feel ignorant Hazel, it has a bone sticking out of it that looks like a lamb bone but it's a shape like a joint of beef! I just stuck it in the oven & we will eat whatever it is! Been in the freezer with no label so who knows!

Lovely photo. I expect it's a very satisfying and rhythmic activity. Beautiful end products too.
Enjoy your roast dinner😁

They look so cosy and homely with their craft work - I love visiting craft shows ! Hope by now you have enjoyed the mystery meat joint -- I had to smile and remember the time Rod's uncle brought us a whole lamb -Rand I had no clue about cutting it So I had a cookery book with the cuts marked out on the carcass and we tried to do it right !! but each cut had to be labelled so we would recognise the ;piece !!

A lovely capture. My grandmother taught me basket work. Don't think I'd remember how to do it now though

Its good to see people doing these sorts of crafts. Seems to be only native people who want to continue this tradition. I can't imagine mint sauce on beef but yorkshire puddings go with all sorts of roasts!

@maggiemae Ha ha it was ok it turned out to be lamb! Very nice it was too! I am so not into craft things like this but admire people who have patience to do all things handy like this!

Great shot - I had a go at this a few years ago, it takes quite a bit of strength!

Love seeing these craftsfolk at work.
We had roast beef with yorkshires at my sister's last night, the kids added mint sauce..! Hope you enjoyed your freezer surprise! :)
