The maize in the fields is looking good & we expect them to come & start harvesting this week. Weather forecast good all week & Harry was told they were coming anytime.
Shame we can't keep it looking as good as it does now but crops don't stand still.
Three good things:
1. Over 11 million of us tuned into the final episode of The Bodyguard last night. I still don't understand all the ins & outs but my word it was tense! I have been told that NZ has been showing trailers so you are in for a treat!
2. I popped in to have my new specs adjusted this morning.
3. A very proud new father pushing a very tiny baby in Tesco this morning.
The corn is as high as an elephant's eye !!!! (Oklahoma ) What a lovely sight Pat and under that lovely sky , and a beautiful Autumn day . - I think we are in for good weather during this week ! I hope so !
A stunning landscape for you to look out over. I'm sure it is constantly changing. I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't understand all the ins and outs of the Bodyguard, but as you say it was very addictive and so tense.
Hope they get the maize harvested before the weather breaks.. I've seen the first of the paddocks getting worked up here ready for planting..
Look forward to seeing Bodyguard as not much else on telly at moment.
@julzmaioro It's a complicated story but it's fascinating to watch...the first episode draws you in! Hoe they get this maize in before the weather changes...no muddy roads hopefully!
Thank you all & I took this photo just in time! Harry has just been out to shut the hens in & there are tractors all over the fields with their lights on chopping & carting these maize fields!
There will be the rumble of big machines all day soon. Have seen some being harvested under lights at night too! Farmer will be pleased! Photo of new glasses - with a person too?
@maggiemae They stopped collecting quite early last night, just wondering if someone came out & complained! No need to be going up & down all night as the weather forecast is good all week.

There's a huge maize field just in front of our house, so our view is restricted. I hope it soon will be harvested.
