Harry & I paid a visit to this magnificent Parliament building in Edinburgh while visiting that city.
We were amazed at the architecture & the detail of every inch. I can quite see why there was controversy about the cost of it, forgotten now I dare say & it’s certainly a building to be proud of.
Slightly over the top in every embellished detail in my opinion but there is money wasted on worse things!
Three good things:
1. I have written every Christmas card except two which needs words written in them.
2. This morning I used the small hand held hoover to give the sofa a good clean.
3. Excitement about the Mars landing happening tonight....fingers crossed it lands OK.
@huvesaker I send around 70 cards Boo, too many I know but I can’t seem to cut down. Quite a few to different countries too so it gets expensive! I do love getting cards though so I persevere.
@happypat hahah you sound like me, Last year I sent 85...a few people are no longer around or they have moved and I have no adress so this year will be a more sensible 55

A very impressive building Pat , love it so spacious and light with all the desks - somehow reminds me of an uni examination hall !! Great that you have completed your Xmas Card writing - I panicked last night and started on mine my numbers have dwindle over the years and am down to 50 odd - expensive to post but I o love to give and receive Christmas cars !
Lovely building. It looks quite calm when its empty doesn't it. When we went to our State Parliament a few weeks ago and sat in on question time it was like a giant kindergarten.
@quietpurplehaze oh I like yours & everyone’s comments Hazel, to me that is far more important than the photo bit. I have discovered that the photo is a means to an end & the contact with people more important in my life so every little newsy bit & info about places & people is a massive bonus.
Fab capture. Do you know, I've never been inside. Must do that someday. Re Christmas cards - I too do about 70-80, mostly for friends abroad, and what's worse, I haven't started yet! This weekend? Perhaps!
It's a fabulous building and glad you were able to visit inside. Like @jamibann I have never been inside either and as for Christmas Cards.....well done to you!!! I suppose I better get a move on!!!!😂😂😂

I know, just me being silly, take no notice!! I used to like Mars bars but they don’t fit with a no sugar diet....
