On the fifth day of Christmas my true love sent to me......
Five Gold Rings, four calling birds, three French hens, two turtle doves & a partridge in a pear tree?
Missing six geese a laying,seven swans a swimming, eight maids a milking!
In this photo you can see nine lords a-leaping, ten ladies dancing, eleven pipers piping & twelve drummers drumming.
This was the long Hall & they did seem to run out of space & crammed them all into this room.
Sorry I could have taken photos of geese, swans & maida a milking but didn’t think!
By coincidence on BBC Breakfast this morning Carol the weather girl was at Castle Howard showing us the outside & a couple of the rooms inside. A lovely choir in the big hall too, nice to think we had been in there last weekend!
Three good things:
1. A visit from friends from Leicester who always come with their cards.
2. Car cleaned...it smells of polish & shines beautifully.
3. Enough cards to put a string up on the beams!
You must have had to pay to get into this castle! The artwork is so good and specially designed for Christmas! There is a lot to see in this shot - just found the Leaping Lords! Probably trying to land on the dancing ladies!
I like that your car has been cleaned. I must do mine at the weekend.
@huvesaker You would make these easily Boo.....you’re so artistic it would be a doddle for you!
@beryl @beryl
@onewing Very Christmassy!
Thank you all, a lovely house to visit but I think Chatsworth was a tad better!
