I have been driving over this bridge for a few weeks now taking my DIL’s parents to the doctors clinic in Garstang. They live just over this bridge so today I stopped at the side of the road & took a few photos.
It all looks very beautiful in the Spring sunshine.
One of my friends lives on the right, her garden is the one with the flower pots beyond the hedge.
Three good things:
1. The patient has had his dressings removed today so we are on the mend. Coagulation clinic tomorrow but no need to go on Friday this week! We are winning!
2. Had a long conversation with youngest son in NZ this afternoon. He woke up in the night & rang his mum...bless, it was lovely to talk to him.
3. My friends son in law has today just become Deputy Chief Fire Officer for our county!
@julzmaioro No Julz, strangely canals don’t flood! Yes it was, had to pull in at the side of the road to talk...thought there was something wrong him ringing me at 3am his time! All ok though! X
A great pov of the canal from the bridge Pat .Lovely reflections of the trees in their spring green ! So nice to have a chat with your son , and to find all is OK with him ! So wonderful that no matter where in the world , your mobile phone connects you !
Your friend obviously values her privacy - doesn't want the passing boats to see in! I would be the opposite - would want to see them passing! Who is the patient?
@maggiemae DIL Father maggie. There is a gap in the hedge where they feed the ducks, there is a footpath on the left hand side as we look over the bridge, EILEEN gets cross because the people walking along just stop look right into their garden.
Nice to have a long chat with your 'Boy'..
