Lydia & I took Gus to the vet this morning. He came in the other morning limping & with a sore side. They thought he had caught it on some barbed wire but when the vet shaved his side the sore bit was a very neat round hole so what it was is a mystery. Two injections later & a lighter pocket & we took him home.
He does not like being in the car!!
Three good things:
1. Two very sweet whippets who would not be parted at the vets.
2. Lydia told me that the vet nurses light a candle if someone’s beloved pet is being put to sleep.
3. Harry has been & strimmed Cathy & Garth’s edges & I had my feet done!
00h poor Gus , hope he will be OK and the pocket will recover soon -- Vets do not come cheap do they !! Smiled at your no3 - hope you didn't have your feet done with the strimmer !! ha ha ! :)
Sounds as if poor Gus might have been shot! I has happened. I would not let him out at nights! I can imagine the noise in the car if Gus did not like to ride!
@maggiemae We thought that too maggie but the vet said not, he felt all over for pellet but no bruising which would indicate being shot. You’re right about the noise, lots of wowing.
Cathy's edges..
He was as good as gold with the vet, just the journey was trial to him. Thank you for your concern!
You're very lucky having your personal podiatrist!
