We drove across the river to visit this place this afternoon.
They advertise house clearances & will come & check out stuff people don’t want anymore!
A perfect solution for our house move.
They are going to ring us in a couple of weeks & come & check out what’s what after we have decided what to keep & what the new owners wish to buy from us.
Funny as this is a place I would normally go in & possibly buy something, not today!
Three good things:
1. We also checked out a bungalow to rent in Great Eccleston. We were having a look through the windows & the guy who lives opposite came across with the key & let us in. It’s clean & would be perfect for us for six months if we decide to go down that route.
2. Sausage & new potatoes for supper...plenty of butter!
3. The freesias I bought last Tuesday are still giving off a lovely perfume!
@sarah19 Well it’s very strange as it’s all just popped into place ever since our tenants gave notice, we think it’s just meant to be & hopefully our other place won’t be long either!
How does Harry watch rugby on the iPad? John, still in hospital wanted to do the same.
They might not give you as much as the stuff is worth but its great to have it all carted away!
Sounds as though all is going well. Decluttering is difficult isn't it but at least you know somewhere close where all your unwanted things can go.
We lived out of boxes for 5 months when we moved here from Melbourne. We sold our house in Melbourne, moved into a married quarter up here until we found this house. As time went on we opened more and more boxes to find things we just couldn't live without. ha ha. It is difficult living without some of your 'toys' isn't it. Luckily we had a huge garage and a rumpus room where we could store our boxes until we needed them.
@maggiemae He was watching the Champions League football in Madrid Maggie. Liverpool against Tottenham. It was the only way to watch it on BTSports. He’s not a massive football fan but there was nothing else much on TV & the UK have been obsessed with this match because it’s so unusual to have two English clubs together in the final. People have paid thousands to get there & paying silly money fir spare tickets when they get there! Liverpool won!
@onewing Sounds a bit like we are going to be living out of boxes Babs for at least six months! The bungalow we looked at is the only place on the market to rent in Great Eccleston but it will be ok for a short while. If we get the keys to our new place in the next couple of weeks we could move into that until the builder is ready to start work....he says in two months but that might be builder talk!will know more hopefully this week. Yours was a good move, let’s hope ours is the same!
@maggiemae Forgot to say I am surprised John is still in hospital....perhaps for the best, he will be doing as he’s told & resting that leg....painkillers to hand too. What an unfortunate thing to happen, give him our love when you go next! To watch the football I went on You Tube & wrote in the box the name of what we wanted to watch & up it came...really good picture too. You can watch anything you pretty much want to on You Tube.
@happypat I do that here, Pat but in hospital he does have wifi. I'll tell him to do Youtube - (he never does of course). He's in a good place where he doesn't need to walk anywhere except to the toilet! Here - he might just want to walk more.
Looks like a fabulous place to look around. Definitely one of those places where you know you should be getting rid of stuff but end up buying more. We had that problem taking books to an amazing second hand bookshop. This is a great photo btw.
Thank you all, hard commenting tonight folks as Harry is watching Football on my iPad not so easy writing on my phone!
