Been in Lancaster today helping our granddaughter move into her new house. She & Mathew are renting their first house together so it’s an exciting time for them both.
They decided to rent first as they aren’t that sure of where they want to settle & both of them in very new jobs.
Just the right time for them as they are taking advantage of our move to bag some furniture!
Cathy & I painted the sitting room, quite a job as it was a sort of embossed wallpaper & really hard to cover.
It’s looking really good tonight & she has inherited the ability to make a house look homely & comfortable on a shoestring!
I’m pretty tired tonight as I didn’t get to sleep until after 4am this morning for some reason!
Three good things:
1. Having a picnic out in the back yard in the sun.
2. It’s the last painting job I am ever doing...I’ve promised myself!
3. A pretty quiet week ahead with just a waiting job for a signing up date now. Hopefully it will be very soon.

Where do you get all your energy from !! - you must be pretty tired by tonight - but I had to laugh out loud -- with your roller in hand ,paint on your nose , still smiling but the funniest is that you are still wearing your precious pearls ! But Pat , my lady , you were obviously attired ready for your picnic in the back yard ! ha ha !!
@beryl Ha ha Beryl would never take my pearls off even for painting, first thing on in the morning last thing off at night....I never even notice I have them on! Yes always have to attired correctly Beryl. I must say I wished I could show you pictures of me milking the cows...looking like nothing on earth but still with pearls on!
@mave@countrylassie Oh I’m sure we all go that extra mile for our family...if you’re lucky enough to have good health we must use it to best if our ability...I enjoyed the day very much but was glad to finish! The pleasure on Lydia & Mathews face said it all.
Sorry for the communal reply....I have been really surprised at the interest in this quick photo! I thank you all for your lovely comments ....my pearls aren’t my best ones, as you can imagine I have a few pairs but these are the easiest to put on in the morning just having a ring type fastening, I just feel not complete when I haven’t got them on.
A lovely image of you on the painting job. I must say that I don’t know many (well, actually anyone) who wears pearls in the cowshed. A stylish farmer girl!
