Prom night by happypat

Prom night

I was asked last night to go & take a few photos of our nephews daughter on her prom night.
Very interesting seeing what the were all wearing & they made quite a thing of them all arriving at the hotel.
Charlottes brother Harry drove her in the tractor & he had to queue up & wait his turn to drive up in front of the hotel to drop her off.

I’ve seen her today & I asked her if she enjoyed it but she just said it was OK.

I think Proms are a very exaggerated expensive affair....I don’t think Lydia enjoyed hers that much either!
They have left school & moved on!

Sorry out again tonight at a 70th birthday party.
Well a nice outing for the tractor.. They are a huge expence.. Kenna managed to do hers without too much cost and had a fun time..

I think this would be such a cool way to arrive at your prom. She looks darling. Proms are so expensive here, so.

A great form of transport. My husband took our grandsons to their proms in our Landrover fire engine.... They won first prize both times

Not only do youngies want to dress up to the nines for a night like this but they want a novel way to get to the event! What next!

Interesting way to arrive at a prom. It is expensive. Parents have to buy the perfect, expensive dress for a girl to wear maybe once. Not including the price of the tickets to the prom and everything else that goes with it.

The inventiveness that goes into the Prom transport ! Good fun!

Great story. We still have Susannah's gorgeous prom dress hanging in the wardrobe upstairs. So much expense for an evening however enjoyable, but I have permission to sell it now!!!
When Laura had her prom I made her dress but work was all consuming when Susannah was 18.
I think the younger generation are more aware of realistic expectations than a few years back....and a good thing too.
