The Yorkshire Shepherdess

In the tea tent again today & this rather glamorous woman came in on her own & asked for tea.
I recognised her face but thought no it can’t be...she looked like a model or some film star which I suppose she is really.
Us in the UK know of Amanda Owen because she is an amazing farmer & also has nine children.
She lives up in the wilds of Yorkshire with her husband Clive & ever expanding family.
She has books out & TV shows following the lives of this unusual family.
I asked her where the kids & Clive where....she said all working, hay making tomorrow.
She talked to us for what seemed like ages & seemed to be glad to fill in time before her talk in the Country Theatre.

On Friday she sheared 100 ewes.

So glamorous but I did notice she had working hands!

Absolutely love the Yorkshire Shepherdess! My boys met her when they stopped at Ravenseat on the Coast to Coast and she served them a cream tea. Super lass. Fantastic photo, instant favourite!
