Is this worth all that waiting....not for me! Cork.

I don’t like wearing nail polish so you wouldn’t catch me queuing to have my nails done.

Three good things:
1. My car has been serviced & passed its MOT today.
2. Harry is minding two horses & a dog this week....
3. White fleshed peaches. I once had a b&b lady from Edinburgh who drove down to Devon every year stopping half way at our place. She was in her eighties & her family used to all descend on her & they all went water skiing, her included. She always used to bring me two white fleshed peaches....thank you Pauline & I remember you well. RIP.

Nor me either ! and I can not stand those overlong false nails that look like an angry bird's talons !! preventing the owner to use their fingers properly ! How lovely to have such fond memories of past B&B's - have just eaten one of those flat peaches - delish !

I like being pampered and having my nails done but I agree with @beryl that the false over long nails look ridiculous.

It's definitely a popular thing nowadays.that and the eyebrows and fake lashes!..ooh some nails so long they can hardly use then properly.how do you get your jeans fastened./put your contacts in..to name just a few!

I hate those long talons too...I quite like a French polish but that seems old fashioned these days!

Imagine paying someone to do your nails!! When you really can do them yourself! I had a polish kit once bought in Japan. It was really good!

I like to have my nails done sometimes.. It lasts for ages handles, gardening, milking cows and feeding calves or what ever else you have to do .. but I do not have the stick on ones just my own nail with gel polish .. It's my little treat to myself.. Harry is so good with his 'Pet care services' .. and I love white peaches and nectirines as well..

I don't get it either, especially false nails.
I walk past the nail salon in our shopping centre and it stinks to high heaven of chemicals etc. How they work and breathe in there I have no idea.

@beryl I'm with you Beryl I don't get false nails either. It is a bit like putting cotton wool down your bra to make your boobs look bigger. ha ha. If you can't grow your own, don't bother.

@julzmaioro I once had shellac on my nails & they did last ages but my nails were all white when it eventually came off. I admire your names, my friend loves her nails done too but I don’t like the weight on my nails....I know it sounds weird!

I did have a pale pink one on once when I was going to a wedding & I do have my nails done....cuticles trimmed etc but have given up on the Polish!

Hmmm I've only had nails done once and I did like them. And I'm not very confident about the effect when I do them myself.......never stays in place for long anyway. Primary teaching and gardening are nail killers!!

Wonderful look into the nail salon. The technician looks completely focused and the client looks totally bored. I am so not into gel polishes...and some of the colors are just bizarre.
