With our booking for the hotel in Cork we got free tickets to visit the Butter Museum which was just round the corner in the Shandon area of Cork.
The museum guides the visitor through the various process of butter making from cow to export.
Ireland was the largest exporter of Butter in the world.
I think to be honest I was the only one finding it most interesting watching this film...someone took this picture of me.
They were showing Kerrygold brand of butter!
Three good things:
1. I’ve been out to a Lady Farmers lunch & talk today. Delicious food & company.
2. I watched my friend’s grandson Charlie on TV this morning. It was focussing really on the hospital visiting dogs really & the surgeon who owned the little pug asked for Charlie to appear as well.
I must say it was a great demo as Charlie was quite stressed at first but as soon as the dog appeared he was much calmer & you could see the fantastic results.
3. We had a viewer today. Very promising although he hasn’t sold yet but he’s bringing his wife. These viewings do keep you on track with keeping a tidy & clean house!
@huvesaker He’s having a weeks chemo through a stent in his head next week Boo.....things aren’t too good sadly but we all live in hope that he will beat this horrid thing but he’s been through so much & it has affected him mentally.
Funny that you were the only one interested in the butter tour .. Ireland and NZ must battle out the top exporter ..
So sad for little Charlie .. so hard for a little fellow to go through so much .. Animals certainly do help with treatment .. When Mum was in the resthome they had an occasional visit from the local Alpacas..
@julzmaioro Yes it was amazing the difference when the dog came in.....Jo used to take our old sadly deceased Labrador into the local care home. Jenny loved all the petting!
@maggiemae Milk out of glass bottles knocks spots off plastic! We could have milk delivery to the doorstep in glass bottles if we wanted but never know how much we need so buy it in plastic unfortunately!
A wonderful selfie. Well Kerry Gold is readily available here, although quite expensive. God bless sweet Charlie, I’m glad he could play with the puppy.
Watching them watching you. Sad things don't sound too promising for Charlie. It is such a terrible disease.
Fingers crossed the viewers are interested in buying
