When we went to the cinema at the Flower Bowl the other day we had our toasted teacake & coffee by the side of the curling rink.
These guys were scraping the surface of the ice ready for play.
Three good things:
1. A good viewing but who knows if anything will come of it....they made all the right noises!
2. The Super Vet...what a great veterinary surgeon he is.
3. Tulips.
There are no railings around the ice rink - no good for me - I need them to cling on to! Cross fingers re home viewing though it sometimes takes a while before they get back to you.
@maggiemae Strangely no one seems to have any trouble walking on the ice maggie, in fact they actually run in front of the stone with a brush smoothing the ice. In ordinary shies too....must be different ice than skating ice perhaps!
Nice to people watching -- in this case men at work ! Keeping my fingers crossed for you re the positive viewing -- I think perhaps this is the right time of the year when punters are more in earnest in the new year and have got Christmas behind them !
@phil_howcroft Yes indeed it’s the only one in the NW. the owners of the Flower Bowl are curlers them selves so instead of trek I g up to Dumfries area they have matches there.
I used to love toasted teacakes, we don't get them here but we do get raisin toast though and that is nice.
