We drove to Harrogate today to look in my favourite shop Toast.
Sale was on so I had a little spend!
Sensible thinks like a couple of shirts & a cardigan.
The satnav got us to the car park nicely but at home time I put in our home address but it sent me a silly way going via Leeds!
Why on earth they didn’t send us back the way we came I have no idea....
I had to borrow Harry’s phone to take photos as I left mine in the car.
Three good things:
1. Maps. We stopped after a few miles & checked the route & I diverted through Otley & Ilkley.
2. We didn’t go in Bettys today as we were happy enough with a toasted teacake & hot chocolate in Cafe Nero.
3. When you have been out all day it’s so lovely to come home & sit up to a lovely warm fire. Tired tonight!
This scene has a European feel about it! A rather magnificent building! Perhaps there was a blockage on your usual route going home and satnav knew about it!
@brennieb Me too Brenda, was full of good intentions but haven’t seemed to have got going yet! Dancing would be a good way...used to get quite puffed doing line dancing but it’s faded from popularity it seems now.
A nice old building - I am sure it has fancy-tiled floors ! So the sat nav did its own thing did it ! - that is annoying ! Nice to find bargains at this time of year I haven't been anywhere lately - the old back is not too good !
I did that drive through Otley and Ilkley last August when we had a week up there. Beautiful part of the world especially in sunshine! Bargains In a sale sound good!
@beryl Oh dear sorry about your back Beryl....you could do with a bit of warm sun! Lots of lovely sun today up here, satnavs have a mind if their own I fear! I should have put Skipton would have taken us the right way!
Really nice architecture photo. If it makes you feel any better, our GPS does the same thing, we have to pay close attention or it will take us on roundabout routes! No reasonable explanation either.
