View from a bedroom window.

The farmers have been busy trying to get rid of the winter slurry.
Using the umbilical system to save going backwards & forwards so much on the wet land they were here two days. Carting the slurry in the tanker from their farm over the river its pumped out along a pipe which spreads it over an area of the field.

Three good things:
1. I had to text one of my B&B’s who had forgotten to send a cheque. I dithered & dithered but plucked up courage....he has just rung me mortified & putting the money straight into my account! He didn’t take offence! 😊
2. Cathy has been & we have been trying on our wedding outfits to see what looks right. All sorted now.
3. Harry has been to the tip with SIL & also taken a load of chopped wood for the fire.
Nice blue sky. Good to have some fine weather for farmers to do these jobs.
Pleased all set for the Weddings..

Envious of your rural view Pat especially when I have now lost "my " field to an estate of houses ! - Pat ( my Friday friend)were only discussing this fact this morning , but I console myself that the houses facing us are beautiful houses and blend in with the area ! So you are all ready for the weddings - exciting times !

A lovely rural scene

Love your rural happenings. Does the slurry pong?
I know what you mean about reminding someone about payments. It’s embarrassing. I used to do voluntary driving elderly to hospital appointments and they needed to pay but less than a taxi but they often just hopped out without paying. It was so awkward but couldn’t ask!!

@lucycameron Well I did think about ignoring it but it was £140 so thought no way. They have been coming for years & I know them well....he advised me & wrote to my doctor about my arthritis that time. The only reason I asked was that if they suddenly remembered it would have been awkward & they would have felt bad. Glad it’s sorted, I have dithered for two months! Why do we feel mean asking for our due...I even feel bad putting the egg price up!
We all need money...life is expensive enough! Petrol alone is expensive! You need to put a neat note on your dashboard!

@lucycameron No the slurry doesn’t pong as much doing it this way.

Busy times for you, great shot from your bedroom window!

@beryl Your lovely field....I did notice when you posted a photo one time that they were attractive houses. Thankfully they will never build on these fields but the new place we are going is more built up....we don’t mind so much...had enough living the quiet life these days...I like a bit of life!

Such a lovely view, Pat. You are sure busy these days. I’m glad your B&Ber was just forgetful, that makes it so much easier.

Neat capture of this farm scene.

I learned something new today about the umbilical system! And what a lovely thing with your B&Ber. We are so English sometimes, eh? I would have been the same - reticent to ask. Mad, eh? Lovely image. I bet you are a bit windswept this morning.

@casablanca That same view now is filled with water....all the work they did will be wasted I think though their slurry storage will be emptier!
